The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is conducting a Statewide Forum focused on listening to local and regional recommendations related to Jobs, Economic Development, and Sustainable Communities.
USDA would like to hear from you. Your attendance is vital to ensure Plumas and Sierra Counties voice is heard and included in the final report. Representatives from USDA will be present at the meeting to answer your questions. In addition to an open discussion, attendees will be asked specific questions related to Job Creation and Economic Development in our region.
The desired outcome:
? A document that clearly outlines the needs and issues of California regarding jobs and economic development in our rural communities and resource-based industries: agriculture, forestry, fisheries, etc.
? Some sense of consensus on the contents of this document so that California's diverse interest groups can begin to work together to pursue the recommendations offered.
? A shared experience by the various partners at the local level that can be built upon for future collaboration.
