Lions Club Speakout

Downieville Lions Club Speech Contestants and Judge Candidates Ingrid Larson, Charles Ervin, and Sidonie Christian. The candidates were judges of the Speech contest and Jessica Bakiel of Sierra City won. She will go on to present at the District level. All of the contestants presented clear and well thought out speeches on the subject of Health Care and its' future. There were six contenders Michelene Stringer, Jessica Baiker-McMahon, Randi McCreary, Katrina Morales, Kayla Bolle, & Marie Ellsworth.

Top prize was $50, all entrants received $25.

Next level is the "zone" contest in Grass Valley.
