The California Beef Cattle Improvement Association ended their three day tour beginning in Davis, Ca through the Sierra Valley to Downieville.
The group boarded AmTrak in Davis to Truckee on Friday, then took two motor coaches through the Sierra Valley, a tour of the Maddalena Ranch then a barbeque at Sierra Valley Ranch in Calpine and overnight at the Chalet View Lodge in Graeagle.

Saturday the group of 100 had a picnic lunch at the Beckwourth, tour and dinner at the Green Gulch Ranch in Vinton back to Chalet View
Lodge.

Sunday began with a tour of Feather River Headwaters in the Sierra Valley, on to the Kentuck Mine Museum and Stamp Mill in Sierra City, another picnic lunch and then on to the gold mining town of Downieville featuring wine tasting at 49er Wine hosted by Will and Jean Clark in Downieville, walk around town to the Downieville Museum.

The last stop will be the Linden Lea Ranch and Nevada County Free Range Beef Operations, Nevada City and a return to University of Davis. Pam Payen and Terry Joachim deserve kudos for this endeavor.
