A fabulous antique show and sale in your own neighborhood! The 2009 Downieville Antique Bottles & Collectibles Show and Sale,"Gold Rush Gala" is slated for Saturday, September 12th. You won't want to miss this show! Over 45 dealer tables will offer a great selection of antique bottles, collectibles and memorabilia for sale. There will also be a variety of fabulous displays related to the California Gold Rush. Many collectors have some unique early California Gold Rush items that most folks never get a chance to see until now. This years’ displays include:

The Max Bell Gold Rush Collection of Lead Labeled Food Bottles, 1850's Belt Buckles and early American Face Pipes.

The Rick Pisano Collection of rare Western Medicines.

Rare Western Bitters from the Warren Friedrich Collection

The Sierra County Replica Collection of Gold Nuggets recovered from the famous Ruby Mine

Also at the Show, Rick Simi will debut his new book entitled " Gold Rush Camps and Bottles of Sierra County" The book has been in the works for the last 2 years and Rick shares his enthusiasm and love of Gold Rush history in this interesting collection of photos and historical information about Sierra County.

The Show will be held in the Downieville School Gym, a large modern facility with good lighting and lots of room for dealers to display. The gym is located in the heart of Downieville. Just park and walk all over the quaint little historic Gold Rush town. Show opens at 8:00 a.m. for early lookers-$10.00, and admission is free after 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Food and snacks will be available at the show.
